I’ve been totally focused for weeks on finishing, editing, and polishing book four. Its unofficial title is MURDER AT THE MUSHROOM FESTIVAL. I took a few days to go to Mendocino for the Fourth of July. I’ll be using the festivities there in book five. I met this cutie dressed up for the parade.
A Special Birthday Cake
A special birthday cake was made recently for the president of a dog club. It wasn’t made by a commercial bakery. I think the young woman did an outstanding job! The filling between the cake layers was made up of chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas as well as a few other things. It was REALLY good!
Spring is here!
Comments
It recently came to my attention that a number of e-mails from people through my website weren’t making it to me. This was very upsetting news as responding to my readers is always a priority for me. If you’ve written to me and didn’t get a reply, I apologize profusely. Not only have you read something I’ve written, you’ve taken the time to correspond with me which I really value. It appears messages made it to the people I use for the site but not back to me. I have a list of those e-mails and have sent a group explanation. If you sent an e-mail and didn’t receive that message, please let me know. I’m so sorry this happened. The problem appears to be fixed. I hope nothing like this happens again in the future and believe I now have a safeguard to be sure I’m receiving my messages. Thank you to everyone who contacted me. I will respond to each of you individually in the near future.

Mendocino Whale Festival Chowder Event
It’s been a whirlwind three weeks. Some of it has been difficult, some challenging, and some of it a lot of it fun. I’ll be catching up with you on what’s been happening. I’ll start with the Mendocino Whale Festival which is what Whale Frolic in MURDER AT THE MANSION is based upon. It starts with a chowder tasting in the morning at the Crown Hall built in 1901. There was definitely an eating frenzy that happened when the doors opened!
