I want to send a thank you to Sunny Frazier at KINGS RIVER LIFE magazine for showcasing MURDER AT THE FORTUNE TELLER’S TABLE. She also listed a number of other cozies you might want to check out.
Another Mendocino Morning!
Here’s another beautiful Mendocino morning!
Audio Book Cover
My first book, MURDER AT REDWOOD COVE, was released as an audio book last month. I recently received copies of it. The audio company created a different cover. I wanted to share it with you. The other two will be coming out in audio format as well.
A Colorful Mendocino Morning
I go to Mendocino several times a year to do research for my mystery series. This particular morning there was some beautiful color!
Pie party!
Pie party! I’m sure you can imagine how those two words bring smiles to people’s faces. It’s a great theme for a get together. My husband and I attended one last month. We had a great time! I just put one in my fourth book.
Mendocino Whale Festival Chowder Event
It’s been a whirlwind three weeks. Some of it has been difficult, some challenging, and some of it a lot of it fun. I’ll be catching up with you on what’s been happening. I’ll start with the Mendocino Whale Festival which is what Whale Frolic in MURDER AT THE MANSION is based upon. It starts with a chowder tasting in the morning at the Crown Hall built in 1901. There was definitely an eating frenzy that happened when the doors opened!
Hail in Mendocino!
I had a wonderful time at the Mendocino Whale Festival. My husband made a slideshow with whale pictures from our trips to San Ignacio Lagoon. People really enjoyed it. I showed it at one of Saturday’s events and then had a “meet and greet” at the local bookstore on Sunday for my Kelly Jackson mystery series. MURDER AT THE MANSION has Whale Frolic in it which is based on this event. I met a lot of nice people. THEN something happened I’d never experienced before–hail in Mendocino! Luckily it was late afternoon and the events were over.
I’m going to be attending the Mendocino Whale Festival this coming weekend. I’m really looking forward to it. I based Whale Frolic in MURDER AT THE MANSION on it. It made me think of my trips to what I call whale camp in San Ignacio Lagoon. I’ve been three times. It’s the most amazing place I’ve ever been to. I’ve touched whales more than once. The picture in this post shows me touching a young whale.
At the San Francisco Writers Conference
I spent most of the weekend at the San Francisco Writers Conference. I joined Penny Warner, Ann Parker, and Lida Sideris on a panel. We had a lot of fun!
Mendocino Architecture
This is a picture of one of the main streets in Mendocino, the town I used to create Redwood Cove in my mystery series. I thought you might like seeing some of the buildings. The town is very careful about keeping the architecture from changing.
